Jachthaven Kempers

Kempers Watersport runs a full-service marina in Aalsmeer (near Leimuiden), right on the Westeinderplassen lake amid nature. The marina has about 500 renovated berths with side pontoons of hardwood and non-slip synthetic decking, and almost every berth has water and electricity hook-up.

Both summer and winter berths are offered, plus winter storage in a wet shed, dry shed or ashore, including for sailboats with mast up. The marina has a boat lift with a capacity of up to 50 tonnes for vessels up to about 20 metres. Contact the harbour office for prices and availability.

On site you'll find good shower and toilet facilities, washing machines and dryers, a pump-out and chemical waste disposal station, and free good wifi throughout the marina. There's power and drinking water at nearly every berth, a crane for boat handling, the Meat & Fish restaurant right by the harbour, a playground for children and 300 free parking spaces. Loaner bicycles are also available free of charge.

A shopping centre lies within a 10-minute walk of the marina, and a fuel pump (diesel only) can be found at the neighbouring marinas Kudelstaart and Stenhuis, about 10 minutes away. Moor up at one of the renovated pontoons and stroll the 10 minutes to the shopping centre while taking in the view over the Westeinderplassen.
