About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Käringöns gästhamn is located on Käringön, a unique fishing island at the outer edge of the Bohuslän archipelago, and is a municipal marina with 125 berths. The harbour has a depth of around 4 metres and is open from 1 April to 30 September; outside the season the service house is locked, but a year-round HWC is available in the large service building on Skepparsholme.
Guest berths are marked in red on the harbour map, and advance booking can be made via Dockspot. The marina is cashless, and fees are paid via the GoMarina app; prices vary by week number and boat length, from SEK 190 in low season to SEK 710 for boats over 18 metres in high season, while a day ticket costs SEK 80. Limited service applies in weeks 36-22, and no fee is charged when the harbour is closed.
The marina has a service building with toilets, showers, a washing machine and a tumble dryer, plus a pump-out station for pleasure boats near the fuel dock (1 April-31 October). Shore power is available at the berths, but avoid running all appliances at once to prevent overloading the fuses. Household waste is disposed of in the marina's waste shed, with glass and newspapers sorted separately.
On Käringön itself you'll find a grocery store, restaurant and café, accommodation, boat and fishing trips, a museum, a Systembolaget pick-up point, a ferry connection to the bus (Västtrafik) and a sea rescue station.
