About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026

Kjerringvik Nordhavna is a small community-run marina operated by Kjerringvik Vel & Båthavnforening, with no fixed, marked guest berths due to the harbour's limited capacity. Instead, vacant berths are offered to visiting boats as available, by arrangement with the harbour watch.

In summer, guest moorings are available on the outside of the breakwater with buoys and mooring points, though this side can be exposed in strong winds, and going ashore on the stone breakwater can be a bit challenging. For boats wanting to lie at anchor swinging free, the bay towards southern Kjerringholmen (Martaholmen) is recommended. The harbour is staffed after 18:00 from 1 June to 21 August, after which you should contact the boat watch. Do not use a grapnel anchor in the harbour, and note that the stern mooring line runs on the approach (west) side of each berth; the average berth width is 2 to 3 metres. The daily guest fee is NOK 250 without electricity and NOK 350 with electricity, payable via Vipps.

Electricity can be hired at the pontoons; the cable must be unbroken and secured so it does not touch the water.

Moor on the outside of the breakwater in summer, or anchor swinging free off Martaholmen, and report your arrival to the boat watch after 18:00.
