KMS Nordön - Norra hamnen

KMS Nordön Norra hamnen is a club-run marina on Nordön in southern Bohuslän, set amid an archipelago with plenty of good natural harbours nearby. Norra hamnen has around 540 berths and is run by the non-profit Kungälvs Motor- och Segelbåtssällskap, which has about 2000 members.

The guest harbour has no fixed guest berths; instead it uses berths that owners free up while on holiday, and you will be assigned a spot by harbour staff or members on watch duty. The guest berth fee is 200 SEK per night, whether you are a member or not. There is a size limit for visiting boats: maximum 12 metres length and 4 metres beam. Electricity and water are included in the guest fee and available on all pontoons. Parking, and power for boats or electric-car charging, is paid via the machine at the parking gate.

Showers and toilets are included in the fee and found in the clubhouses. There is a laundry with washing machine and tumble dryer (a three-hour wash costs 100 SEK), plus dish-washing facilities in the clubhouses. A recycling station for combustible waste and glass is available in both harbours, along with pump-out facilities. Barbecue areas are provided – grilling on boats or pontoons is not allowed.

Several fishing villages such as Dyrön, Åstol, Rönnäng, Klädesholmen and Skärhamn are close by, and five nautical miles to the west lies Marstrand with Carlstens fästning fortress and its charming wooden town.
