About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Djurgårdshamnen is the home harbour of the Royal Motorboat Club (KMK), centrally located at Strandvägen 56 in the heart of Stockholm, on the border between lively city life and the scenic Djurgården. The harbour has been a central part of the club's activities since 1915, and the clubhouse was designed by architect Osvald Almquist and built in 1928 for the 1930 Stockholm Exhibition. The harbour has space for around 250 boats.
The harbour is located right next to Djurgårdsbron, and you should note that the surrounding bridges have a clearance height of 4.1 metres, which limits access for taller boats. The harbour is open from 1 May to 31 October, and a harbourmaster and harbour hosts are on site during the season to assist visiting boats. Outside office hours, notices at the harbour office indicate available berths, or you can speak to the night watch.
At the berths you have access to electricity and water, and the harbour office has toilets and showers for both members and guest sailors. A café at the office is also open to the public, and right by the harbour a club member runs a restaurant where you can get food, drinks or a coffee.
From the harbour it is a short walk to several of Stockholm's well-known attractions, including the Nordic Museum, the Vasa Museum, Junibacken, Skansen, Gröna Lund, the Maritime Museum, Rosendal's Gardens and Liljevalchs Art Hall.
