About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Lykling guest harbour lies snugly in Kjerkalevika by the village of Lykling on the southwestern side of Bømlo in Vestland county, with the North Sea as its nearest neighbour to the west. The harbour is described as very good regardless of weather and wind, and the guest quay itself is an 80-metre wooden quay, supplemented by further available berths at Bømlo Båtlag if needed.
The harbour typically offers a small number of guest berths and a swimming spot right by the quay. It is open for most of the year, with occasional cosy café evenings in the summer months (June-August).
On the quay you'll find toilets, showers, a washing machine and water, as well as shore power for the boats. There are also a few spaces for camper van parking. Every Thursday evening from 17:30 a cafeteria runs in Huset på Kaien, where you can also borrow a kayak free of charge. If you want to rent a room for a party or gathering, a function room is available for hire on the quay.
Going ashore, it's only 6 km to the nearest shop and petrol station at Finnås, though groceries can be delivered to the harbour. Within walking distance you'll find the Lykling gold mine area and Kleberstensbrudd, both with guided tours available, plus a 3 km circular hiking trail along the river Lyklingelva.
