About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Margretheholms Havn, commonly known as Lynetten, is a marina on Refshaleøen in Copenhagen. The marina is owned and run by Sejlklubben Lynetten (the Lynetten Sailing Club) and is Denmark's largest association-/privately owned marina, with room for around 720 boats. It was built by the members' own hands from 1975 to 1978, and the original self-build spirit of community and camaraderie still characterises the place.
The bridge into the marina opens on weekdays at 10, 12 and 14, and again from 16:00 to 07:00, while it remains open for passage on weekends. Note that construction work is taking place northeast of the marina in connection with the Lynetteholm project, so watch for markings and give way to commercial vessels. Guest sailors are welcome at the marina.
The harbour has two clubhouses: Vestersøhus to the west, with a small kitchen, lounge area, and toilet and shower facilities, and the east clubhouse, which houses the harbour office, a restaurant, laundry facilities, and toilets/showers. Restaurant Lynetten serves food at reasonable prices, and you'll also find a chandlery, a slipway, a diesel and petrol fuel berth, and a 20-tonne crane plus a mast crane for boat servicing.
The marina sits centrally on Refshaleøen, within reach of Reffen Streetfood, the Opera House, Christianshavn and Tivoli - on foot, by bus 2A, or by harbour ferry. In summer, concerts are also held on Refshaleøen. Moor at Lynetten and experience its distinctive self-build spirit right at the pulse of Copenhagen.
