About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Mågerø Marina is a leisure boat marina on the eastern side of Tjøme in Vrengensund, about an hour and a half south of Oslo and close to the summer town of Tønsberg. The former shipyard was converted in 1987 into a fully integrated marina, which today has around 190 berths in a south-facing, sheltered bay.
You reach the marina by following the signposted route towards Tjøme and Mågerø, and there is a large parking area at the site. The marina also has a slipway of gravel and asphalt, and a truck can lift boats ashore.
Ashore, the marina offers shore power, fresh water, showers, toilets and a washing machine. There is a kiosk serving food where you can enjoy a meal by the water, along with a sailmaker, minor repair services, a crane/boat lift and an environmental station for waste. The marina also has a chandlery and an engine service workshop, so both small repairs and maintenance can be handled on site.
Within walking distance you'll find a tennis court that can be rented through the kiosk, as well as galleries, including Galleri Verftet with a small Mågerø museum. The coastal path in the area offers good walking opportunities, though there are no good swimming spots right next to the guest harbour itself. The place is described as a calm and practical stop, with short distances to several of the Oslofjord's coastal gems.
