About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026

Malma Kvarn has been the Swedish Cruising Club's (SXK) outpost harbour since 1946, beautifully located on Fågelbrolandet by Örsundet near Nämndöfjärden in Stockholm's inner archipelago on Värmdö. It offers both a guest marina and permanent berths for SXK members, in a central location with good road and bus connections.

Mooring is on buoys. The marina is open 15 May–30 September (staffed 15 May–31 August), with a maximum of 8 tonnes. The number of guest berths varies between 10-30 depending on how many members are in port at any time. The guest marina day-and-night fee is SEK 130, while a guest berth costs from SEK 185 for members and SEK 225 for non-members depending on boat width; electricity costs SEK 65 and laundry SEK 35 per machine, while showers and WiFi are included. Payment is by Swish or card at the harbour office.

The marina offers Restaurant Bistro Malma Kvarn (open mid-June to mid-August), a small kiosk/café, showers, electricity, drinking water, toilet pump-out, a wood-fired sauna, WiFi and a laundry. There is a sandbox and toys for children, a quiz trail, an obstacle course, plus bikes and an optimist dinghy to borrow.

The marina is a 3-minute walk from the swim-friendly Kvarnsjön lake, with bus line 432 to Stockholm. Tie up at the buoy and take the short walk down to Kvarnsjön for a swim after sailing.·
