About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Marina Bortfeld lies on the Mittellandkanal, at the branch to the Salzgitter Stichkanal, at canal kilometre 213.5 near Wendeburg. The marina has 24 permanent berths on 2 piers with a water depth of 2 metres, accommodating boats up to 5 metres in beam.
Entry is through a 6-metre-wide Dutch bascule bridge, which opens when you call the harbourmaster. The slipway can be used daily from 7am-5pm (for guests) after notifying the harbourmaster, and both car and trailer parking are available. The guest berth price is 5.00 euros per person per night (children under 12 free), with electricity, water and use of the sanitary building included. Using the slipway costs 10.00 euros per boat per use. The harbour office is open daily from 8am-5pm.
Every berth has a power connection (16A, CEE/Schuko adapter against a 20 euro deposit) and fresh water at the pier, plus drinking water and two pump-out facilities (Belcomat) for holding tanks. The sanitary building is modern, with toilets, showers and a hairdryer. The marina's bistro 'HAVARIE' serves coffee and cake, a small select menu, and local Störtebecker beers. A breakfast service and a shopping service to the nearby REWE supermarket are offered, and a bakery is a 5-minute walk from the marina. The harbourmaster can also arrange bike rental.
A pirate-themed playground lies 600 metres from the marina, within Marina Bortfeld.
