About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Marina Kaap Hoorn is a marina on the Markermeer, close to the old town centre of Hoorn and the historic harbour. The marina has been extended over the years with additional pontoons and now offers 135 berths.
There is a slipway on site, open during the summer season from 1 April to 1 November: Monday-Friday 10:00-18:00 and Saturday-Sunday 10:00-20:00; outside this period it can be used by appointment. Guest berths cost €1.85 per metre per day (excluding electricity use), and it is also possible to anchor for €1.50 per metre per night or €125 per month including parking etc. Always follow the harbourmaster's instructions and the marked sailing route within the marina.
On site you'll find the beach pavilion Oranje Buiten, offering a restaurant, a waterside terrace and the chance to enjoy a drink, along with an adjacent shower building. Free parking is available, among other places at the Nieuwe Wal-ABC car park.
From here it's a short walk along the coast and over the dike into Hoorn's old town centre and historic harbour, with restaurants and sights such as Oostereiland. Berth at one of the 135 spaces, use the slipway to launch your boat, and take the short walk to Oranje Buiten for a refreshment with views over the Markermeer.
