About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Heimathafen Lauterbach is a charming marina on Rügen, at the entrance to the Southeast Rügen biosphere reserve, directly opposite the nature island of Vilm. The marina offers 400 summer berths on floating and wooden pontoons, accommodating boats up to 20 metres with a draught of 3.50 metres.
All berths have shore power and water connections. A travel lift up to 65 tonnes and a mast crane are available for launching and hauling out, along with car parking right by the harbour.
Modern sanitary buildings with toilets, showers and luxurious family bathrooms, plus a laundry centre, are on site. Yacht services include engine repair, antifouling, osmosis treatment, marine electrics, boat heating systems, interior fitting and stainless steel and aluminium work. Near the harbour you'll find a harbour kiosk with a bread-roll service, the Kormoran restaurant, and further cafés and restaurants. The nearby Stadthafen offers a diesel fuel station and wastewater pump-out.
The Southeast Rügen biosphere reserve with the island of Vilm and the Goor forest, including the 'Pfad der Muße und Erkenntnis' trail, is within walking distance, as is the classicist town of Putbus with its English landscape park. There's a train station and a supermarket nearby, plus bicycle rental. Moor up at one of the 400 berths and stroll the short distance to Restaurant Kormoran for fresh fish with a sea view.
