About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026MBC – Motorboot-Club Karlsruhe is a club marina on the Rhine, with its entrance at Rhine-km 362.65 on the right bank, between two groynes spaced well apart so the entrance is easy and safe. Slow down to 5 km/h inside the marina, as the Rhine's current at the entrance runs at about 7 km/h.
Approaching from downstream, head for the railway and road bridge over the Rhine and continue about 600 m along the left bank until you are abeam the entrance. Approaching from upstream, keep to starboard close to the bank until you spot a group of 3 trees on the right side – that puts you abeam the entrance. Guest berths are at the head of the marina, to the left of the clubship along the left pontoon, marked with large signs. Pass the island on its left side, along the factory's unloading area, keep left until just before the main pontoon, then turn right towards the guest berths – do not cut diagonally across the marina, as there is a shoal there. A depth of 1.80 m is guaranteed around the perimeter. Berth at a free spot and register your arrival with the berth master, usually found in his boat right next to the sanitary building.
The marina has sanitary facilities with toilets and showers.
