About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Motorwassersportclub Birkenwerder e.V. is a small club-run marina, idyllically situated where the Briese flows into the Havel by the old Havel arm in Birkenwerder. The club was founded in 1968 and today runs the marina for members and visiting sailors.
Guests can stay overnight with their boats after prior arrangement with the harbourmaster, and there is also the option to pitch a tent for touring canoeists and sailors. Visiting boaters are asked to get in touch via the phone number provided for guest berths.
At the jetties there is a fee-based shore power connection, and some jetties have a fresh water supply for daily needs. The marina also offers waste disposal as well as the use of showers and toilets, which are also accessible for disabled visitors. To explore the surrounding area and go shopping, guests can borrow one of a limited number of bicycles.
Moor up at the jetties in Birkenwerder, plug in to the shore power and borrow one of the club's bicycles for a ride around the area.
