About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Mellemhavn is one of the basins within Hundested Havn in North Zealand, where guest sailors can moor – the harbour lies between the fjord and the open sea, right in the middle of town.
Guest sailors should berth in the mellemhavn, the marina section or the south harbour, while the outer harbour and the commercial harbour may not be used. The harbour fee must be paid within 30 minutes of arrival, and the fee obligation applies after 16:00. Payment cards for harbour dues, electricity and shower rooms are bought from a card machine at the harbour office or in the service building on the road Ved Isefjorden.
The harbour offers access to shower rooms and shore power, both paid for via card at the machine. From March to October there is also paid parking within the harbour area under an agreement with ParkZone. Just north of the harbour lies a pleasant bathing beach, and there is also a playground close to the harbour.
Take a stroll toward the kulturkaj, where you'll find several good restaurants – from burgers and prawn open sandwiches to mussels and coastal bistro fare – as well as working craft workshops showcasing high-quality art and craftsmanship. From here a ferry runs on a half-hourly schedule across the fjord between Hundested and Rørvig, making it easy to continue your exploration if the mood strikes.
