About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Melsomvik Båthavn is a small association-run marina in the Tønsbergfjorden, in Sandefjord municipality. The marina is owned and operated by 234 shareholders with a board managing operations on behalf of the owners. Melsomvik is described as a small summer gem with an idyllic setting close to the summer paradise.
As a visiting sailor you'll find guest berths along the long jetty, on the east side between the C, D and E docks. You fill in a form from the postbox by the notice board and place it visibly in the boat so the harbour wardens can check it. The rate is NOK 200 for boats up to 29 feet and NOK 300 for boats of 30 feet or more, paid via Vipps; the receipt must be shown to the boat wardens.
The marina offers a toilet, shore power at the berths and fresh water for the boat. In summer, the local community association Melsomvik Vellag runs a kiosk by the beach where you can buy refreshments.
Within walking distance you'll find a lovely hiking area and a beach with the kiosk, and it's only 500 metres to a pizza restaurant. There's also a Joker grocery store just under a kilometre away, open on Sundays. Tie up along the long jetty and enjoy the idyllic atmosphere of this little gem on the Tønsbergfjorden.
