About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Mittelmann's Werft is a marina and boatyard in Kappeln on the Schlei in Germany. The harbour is storm-protected, and from the Schlei you can reach more than 50 of the finest German and Danish harbours within a radius of 30 nautical miles. At the pontoons, yachts up to 18 metres in length can find a berth.
The marina has a 35-ton Marine Travelift for launching and hauling out, and a chandlery (Bootshandel) is part of the site. In winter the yard offers full service including boat building, rigging work, engine service and cleaning across more than 8000 square metres of frost-free storage halls.
By car you can reach the marina from Hamburg via the A7 in under two hours, a distance of 140 kilometres.
Berth in the storm-protected harbour at Kappeln and make use of its central location on the Schlei as a starting point for your onward sailing.
