About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Motor-Boot-Club Heidelberg runs two marinas in Heidelberg: Hafen Heidelberg in the heart of the city at Schurmanstraße 1, and Hafen Schlierbach in the Schlierbach district. The club was founded in 1963 and has a total of 60 berths of various sizes, some of which are rented seasonally to guest boaters.
Guest berths must be booked online via the booking portal "dockspot", where you also pay directly - a 10% service fee applies. At Hafen Heidelberg a guest berth costs €3.50 per started metre of boat length per day; the same rate applies at Hafen Schlierbach. On check-in you receive a marina key for the site. Departure must take place by 12:00. The marinas are open from early April to late October. At Schlierbach, the harbourmaster assigns your berth on arrival, and there is significant wash from large vessels.
At Hafen Heidelberg you'll find toilets and showers (€1 per shower) right next to the clubhouse, plus waste containers at the western entrance to the marina (a glass recycling container about 50 metres further west along the road). Free wifi is offered to guests - ask the harbourmaster. Washing boats with drinking water is not permitted, and refuelling must be arranged with the harbourmaster. At Hafen Schlierbach there are no toilets, showers or bins, so guests must dispose of their own waste and used oil.
Heidelberg's rich array of attractions lies just outside the marina - see heidelberg-marketing.de for more on what the city offers.
