About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Motorboot-Club-Sehnde e.V. is a club marina on the Mittellandkanal, at kilometre 184.5, in Sehnde. The marina has a total of 33 water berths, split between 18 berths on the north side for boats up to about 6 m and 15 berths on the south side for boats between 6 and 8 m.
The marina is open around the clock for mooring at the outer berth, and no advance booking is required - guests are simply asked to contact a club member on arrival. Boats over 8 m moor at the outer berth, while boats up to 8 m can, where possible, be given a berth inside the harbour, which is more sheltered from the wash of passing commercial traffic. Proof of valid liability insurance must be shown before entering the harbour. Payment by card is possible and preferred, and there is no permanent harbour master - members take turns handling the task. If no one is present, guests are asked to put the mooring fee in an envelope in the letterbox at the clubhouse. Using the slipway costs €15 (covering launching and hauling out) and includes a parking space for car and trailer; use of the crane (1.5 t) costs a one-off fee of €50 for non-members.
Behind the clubhouse is the sanitary area with toilets and showers (€1 for about 7 minutes of hot water), freely accessible to guests during the season.
