About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026WSV De Buitenhaven runs the historic Oude and Nieuwe Buitenhaven harbours in Kampen, just steps from the town centre. The association has 120 members, and the marina also welcomes visiting yachts during the season – no booking needed, there's (almost) always room.
As a visiting sailor you pay easily via the AanUit.net app: download the app, create an account, choose the harbour (Oude or Nieuwe Buitenhaven), select your berth and pay online. During large group events, visitors are directed to a free box in the Verenigingshaven (Nieuwe Buitenhaven).
All berths have shore power and fresh water at the quayside. The marina has a boat lift/wash-down area for vessels up to 20 tonnes and a wastewater pump-out station, a container for chemical toilets, plus separate waste bins for glass and general refuse. The clubhouse has ladies' and gents' toilets and showers, including an accessible toilet with a seated shower and alarm. There is also a laundry room with a professional washing machine and dryer, plus an ironing board and iron. Upstairs is a canteen with terraces on both sides overlooking the harbours, where members, donors and visiting sailors can enjoy coffee, tea or another drink.
Both harbours are within walking distance of Kampen's historic town centre. Between the harbours lies the Koggewerf, home to the Kamper Kogge, as well as the Kamper Botters and the rowing boat Stad Kampen. Moor up in the Nieuwe Buitenhaven, stroll into town, and round off with a coffee on the terrace overlooking the harbour.
