Nysted Havn

Nysted Havn is a municipal marina located at the far end of Nysted Nor cove on the south coast of Lolland, close to the Baltic Sea, with views of the Femern Belt and the Rødsand offshore wind farm. The harbour sits centrally in the small, old market town and is known for its idyllic atmosphere with Swedish-red buildings; the town has in fact won the Prize for Good Architecture. The harbour has been renovated with new quaysides and floating pontoons and serves as the pulsing heart of the town throughout summer.

Wind from the NW can give up to 1.5 m of low water at the entrance. The guest fee covers 2 people, children under 12 sail for free, and an extra person costs 25 kr.; showers, water and wifi are included in the price, and harbour dues are paid at the vending machine by credit card. Motorhomes are welcome and may use all of the harbour's facilities.

On the pontoons you'll find 230V shore power, fresh water, and toilets and showers. The harbour also offers a laundry machine, a restaurant, a grocery store, bike rental, a mast crane, a slipway/bedding, and fuel.

A short walk from the harbour brings you to the farm shop at Aalholm Castle, selling beef and lamb - though the castle itself is not open to the public. From the harbour, the vessel M/S Drost offers seal safaris, and every year the festive shark-cutter regatta calls in with beautifully preserved ships.
