About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Øystese Båtlag runs a small guest harbour at Vikevjo, centrally located in the village of Øystese on the Hardangerfjord in Kvam Municipality (Vestland). The harbour has room for 5 guest boats at the quay, all with access to shore power.
If the guest quay is full, you can contact the harbour master, who will direct you to a free berth within the marina. The new guest quay has recently received a new concrete deck. The daily rate including power, sanitary facilities and shower is 240 NOK, and free guest wifi is available.
The harbour has a new sanitary building with toilet, shower and laundry rooms, plus a small kiosk in the boathouse. There is a slipway for haul-out and boat repair possibilities, a waste container, and fuel (diesel) can be arranged by contacting the local Esso dealer.
It's a short walk to shops, a pharmacy, a hotel, restaurants, a pub, a swimming beach and the Hardangerbadet pool facility. Øystese is also known for the Kabuso art and culture centre and the Ingebrigt Vik museum, and the village sits beautifully by the fjord with views to the Folgefonna glacier and Torefjell mountain. Tie up at the newly renovated guest quay and enjoy the central location close to everything the village has to offer.
