About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Port de Morin is a drying harbour on the island of Île de Noirmoutier, southeast of pointe de Devin. The harbour is protected to the southwest by a 650 m curved rock jetty and to the east by a secondary dike. There are 6 pontoons along the southwest jetty, 9 pontoons with catways connected to land to the north, and a mooring area on fixed buoys to the east.
Being a drying harbour, it is only accessible to vessels with a shallow draft (under 80 cm), and drying out on the bottom remains uncertain. The approach requires careful navigation past Chaussée des Bœufs and plateau des Peignes, and at night the white sector of the light at pointe du Devin should be followed. The harbour office is open Tuesday to Saturday from 9.00 am to 12.30 pm and 2.00 pm to 5.30 pm.
