About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026

Port Médoc is a large marina in Le Verdon-sur-Mer at the mouth of the Gironde estuary in France, with an inner basin of 15 hectares and 1,000 berths afloat, including dedicated spaces for larger vessels. The marina is sheltered from swell by a reinforced breakwater and has 1,600 metres of floating pontoons and a 7-metre-wide channel; water depth at the pontoons is between 2 and 3 metres, and the maximum boat length is 30 metres, draft 3 metres, and weight 45 tonnes. Access to the pontoons is closed to the public and monitored by video surveillance. Within the marina you'll find a careening area, storage yard, a travelift for up to 45 tonnes, and boatyards and a chandlery (Tyalan Accastillage). There's a laundry open 7 days a week (summer 7am-10pm, winter 8am-8pm) and a fuel station with diesel and petrol open 24 hours a day. The marina also offers free parking for 800 vehicles, free WiFi, and a motorhome area. At Club House La Vigie you'll find shops selling local products and souvenirs, and at La Trinquette's grocery corner you can buy bread, pastries and picnic baskets. The bar and restaurant Le Belem serves traditional dishes for lunch and dinner as well as crêpes, waffles and ice cream in the afternoon. Nearby is a 4-star campsite with kids' clubs, a water park and a spa, just 5 minutes from the marina.
