About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Porticciolo San Vito is a small marina on the Lungomare San Vito in Mazara del Vallo, Sicily, located about 0.7 nautical miles east of the town's commercial port. The marina is built with a 90-metre breakwater on the windward side and a breakwater on the leeward side, and it is a long-standing haven for small boats and sport fishermen.
The entrance channel is 15 metres wide, and you should keep to the centre line and slow right down on arrival. The seabed inside the basin is muddy, and there is only 0.5-2 metres of water alongside the quays, so the marina suits smaller craft best. The marina monitors VHF channel 16 (Mazara del Vallo), and it has room for around 100 small boats. Access to the harbour is possible between 07:00 and 19:00.
Electricity is available on the dock for boats.
The marina lies close to the small square with the charming eighteenth-century San Vito church overlooking the sea, and the well-kept seafront comes alive especially on summer evenings.
