About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026

Porto della Gabella is a small marina in Maccagno con Pino e Veddasca on Lake Maggiore, with a total of 77 boat berths, 45 of which are on a stepped ramp (scivolo).

The entrance is narrow, the bottom sandy/muddy and of medium depth, and manoeuvring space is limited. Berths are allocated through a public tender by the Autorità di Bacino Lacuale dei laghi Maggiore, Comabbio, Monate e Varese. Temporary mooring is possible at berths no. 42 and 43, while no. 44 and 45 are reserved for emergencies and rescue; berth no. 1 is reserved for disabled users. At night the entrance is marked by an orange and a green tower.

The marina has no electricity, drinking water, toilet or pump-out facility, but there is car and motorcycle parking in the immediate vicinity of the harbour.

A public garden lies nearby, which you can visit while your boat rests safely at its berth.
