About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026The port of Castiglione della Pescaia lies at the mouth of the river Bruna on the Tyrrhenian Sea and serves as both a marina and a fishing harbour. The canal-shaped port can hold boats up to 15-20 metres in length, and being at a river mouth, the water depth is generally medium to shallow. The port is protected by two piers and has a basin reserved for pleasure craft. During spring and summer, mini cruises depart from here to the islands of the Tuscan archipelago.
It was also from here that Ambrogio Fogar set off in November 1973 on his single-handed voyage around the world.
The town of Castiglione della Pescaia sits on a hill near the sea and offers beaches, a historic centre and cultural sights within walking distance of the port.
Moor in the small canal port and explore the town's historic centre and nearby beaches.
