About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Marina Koper is the northernmost marina in the Adriatic Sea, located close to the Italian border and just a short walk from Koper's old town centre. The marina is known as a popular transit port and an important European hub for the delivery and launching of new yachts from leading European manufacturers.
The approach is from the west, north of the old town, with a lighted breakwater protecting the entrance and a bathing zone to the south of it. The marina can be reached on VHF channel 17. It accommodates vessels up to 18 metres in length with a maximum permitted draft of 3.5 metres, offering both permanent and guest berths – out of roughly 68-69 berths in the water, a number are reserved for day and transit guests.
On the pontoons you'll find electricity and fresh water connections, and facilities include showers, toilets, a laundry room and a dishwashing room. There's a fuel station with diesel and unleaded petrol, plus lifting equipment for launching and hauling out boats – a fixed 3.5-ton crane and a mobile lift of up to 50 tons. The marina also has a well-stocked chandlery, technical services for engine, electronics, sail and equipment repair and maintenance, wifi at the reception, and parking spaces.
Just a short stroll from the marina brings you to Koper's historic centre, with its main square, the 15th-century Praetorian Palace and the Gothic cathedral.
