About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Puerto Deportivo de Gijón is a large marina in the historic center of the city of Gijón on Spain's northern Cantabrian coast. The marina has four docks (dársenas) and a total of 671 berths for boats up to 32 metres.
The marina monitors VHF channel 9, and the entrance is via the Dique Príncipe; free anchoring outside the marina is generally not permitted. The marina holds the Blue Flag award as well as the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality and environmental certifications.
Every berth has water and shore power, while the Capitanía building (the former "Rula") offers toilets, showers, a washing machine and dryer. The marina runs its own fuel station with petrol and diesel, a 35-tonne travel lift for hauling out boats, wifi across the marina, bike rental, and sale of small spare boat parts.
The marina sits right in the centre of Gijón, just steps from the historic old town, giving you easy walking access to the city's life and services. With its central location and Blue Flag status, Puerto Deportivo de Gijón makes an inviting stop along the Cantabrian coast.
