Rixö Småbåtshamn

Rixö Småbåtshamn is a small boat-club marina on the eastern side of Brofjorden at the Rixö sound, in the old stonemasonry community of Rixö in Lysekil Municipality. The marina is run by Rixö Båtklubb, a non-profit association, and has been built up and maintained by its members over the decades without any profit motive.

Visiting boaters are directed to assigned berths within the harbour. Payment can be made via Swish, and if that is not possible, guests pay in cash in Swedish kronor. Note that the harbour sits on a clay seabed and has historically faced dredging challenges, so sailors should keep to the designated berths.

The harbour area offers toilets and a cassette-toilet emptying facility. Electricity and water are available at the berths, though not during winter. The club also maintains a crane for launching boats, an environmental station for waste oil and other hazardous waste, as well as barbecue areas and parking. The harbour is not fenced off but open for the public to walk through.

The marina lies at the Rixö sound close to the Rixö nature reserve and the former granite quarry that shaped the local community's history.
