About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Bootshaus by the Stadtwald in Bremen, with direct access to the small Wümme river, is a third-generation chandlery and boat rental business offering indoor and water berths for canoes, kayaks and motorboats up to 6 metres. From here you can plan tours towards Kuhsiel or Dammsiel, through the Torkanal and Maschinenfleet all the way to the Lesum and Weser rivers. Note that the Kuhsiel lock remains closed for the 2025 season. The Dammsiel lock operates Tuesday to Friday 10:00-18:00 and weekends/holidays 10:00-20:00, with a lunch break from 13:00-14:00; Monday is a rest day. On site there is a small workshop for repair work, plus a freshly renovated room, WERKRAUM, with its own guest toilet, available for workshops and parties for up to 20 people. Bootshaus sits close to Bremen's Stadtwald, surrounded by green space for relaxing and sporting activities. Store your boat in the hall or on the water at Bootshaus and explore the Wümme, Lesum and Weser from this cosy base by the Stadtwald.
