About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026

Segel-Club Frithjof-Haveleck is a sailing club on the island of Valentinswerder in the Tegeler See, opposite Tegelort in Berlin. The club has just over 30 berths of various sizes as well as winter storage space on the grounds.

The island has no car traffic and is reached by ferry, which on weekends and public holidays runs roughly once an hour between Tegelort/Hakenfelde, Valentinswerder, Spandau and Saatwinkel; on weekdays members use the club's own shuttle boat or their own rowing boats and kayaks.

The marina has a slipway and a small crane of up to 3 tonnes for lifting boats from the trailer onto trestles, a boat shed for winter repairs, lockable cabinets for boat gear, a small workshop, and a barbecue area that is almost always in use on weekend evenings. There is also a small beach with seating right by the harbour, a kitchen with a stove and rentable cabinets, and a dormitory with a limited number of beds for members without a berth on their own boat.

The island is very green and car-free, with plenty of room for walking and play. Drop by at the weekend on the ferry from Tegelort, Saatwinkel or Havelspitze — you can't get lost on Valentinswerder, and there's almost always someone on the club grounds to greet you.
