About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Segelverein Saalburg e.V. is a sailing club on the Bleilochtalsperre in Thuringia, Germany's largest reservoir, covering 9.2 km² with many bays and good wind conditions. The club welcomes everyone from large cruisers and dinghies to 420s and Optimist dinghies, and members regularly compete in regional regattas.
Ten regattas are held annually on the lake, three of which are organised by Segelverein Saalburg itself, including the Pfingstpokal, Blaues Band der Kreuzer, Langstreckenregatta and Herbstpokal.
The club runs its own sailing training for children on Optimist and 420 dinghies, leading to the Jüngstenschein certificate, free of charge for the club's own children. A properly fitted life jacket is required, along with rain gear and a dry change of clothes for training sessions.
Sail in to the Bleilochtalsperre and experience the club's active community amid the many bays of Germany's largest reservoir.
