Segler-Verein Elmshorn e.V.

Segler-Verein Elmshorn (SVE) runs a small, welcoming marina on the river Krückau, at km 1.0 in Elmshorn, set in a park-like and peaceful marsh landscape. The marina has 70 permanent berths for boats up to 11 m in length and 3.50 m in beam; as the harbour is tide-dependent, boats should not draw more than 1.40 m.

Visiting sailors are always welcome, and the harbourmaster will assign a free berth on arrival. For longer stays or when arriving with several boats, it is recommended to contact the harbourmaster in advance. The berthing fee is 1 euro per metre per night, including electricity, water, toilets and showers. Slipway use costs 20 euros for boats under 6 m and 30 euros for boats over 6 m.

The marina is modernly equipped with electricity, water and lighting at the berths, waste disposal, a mast crane, a slipway for boats up to 10 tonnes, and a clubhouse with kitchen and sanitary facilities including showers. There are also car parking spaces and a covered bicycle park.

A supermarket with a bakery is located right next to the marina's entrance road, and there are bus connections to Uetersen, Wedel and Seestermühe. It is about a 15-minute walk to Elmshorn's town centre and 20 minutes to the S-Bahn station. Tie up at a free guest berth and take the short 15-minute walk into Elmshorn's lively town centre.
