About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Seljevågen guest harbour is located in the centre of Selje, in Stad Municipality in Vestland county, right by the legendary island of Selja with Selje monastery just offshore. The monastery boat departs daily from here in summer to Selja, making the harbour a natural starting point for visits to the monastery island.
Harbour fees are paid via an app, and you can moor alongside the quay or floating pontoons.
At the harbour you have access to shore power and fresh water at the berth (except during winter) as well as fuel from a floating fuel dock. Toilets, showers, a washing machine and dryer are available in the service building by Seljesanden beach, and there is also a children's playground close to the harbour.
It's a short walk to the community square with tourist information, a library and BUA, where you can borrow outdoor equipment. The surrounding area also offers a golf course, galleries and marked hiking trails, and a new sherpa staircase is under construction up to the 645-metre mountain Tarvaldseggja. Berth at Seljevågen and use the harbour as your gateway to the monastery island of Selja.
