About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Sirevåg is primarily one of Norway's largest fishing harbours, but it also has a small marina for leisure boats along the Jæren coast in Hå Municipality. The harbour lies safely behind Europe's second-longest shoulder breakwater between Jæren and Dalane and is known for its calm wind conditions.
Since 2023, new guest berths have been established at the far end of the new small-boat marina. Although Sirevåg is really a fishing harbour, visiting boats are welcomed and no charge is made for mooring. The approach is described as straightforward.
On the pier there is a building with toilet and shower, free of charge to use, as well as fresh water for the boat. The Joker grocery store is within walking distance of the harbour, and there is also motorhome parking near the harbour area.
Sirevåg is a beautiful village at the very edge of Norway where beaches and rocky shores meet, and it is the end point of the historic King's Road (Kongevegen) along Jæren. At Vedafjell, between the harbour and County Road 44, you can explore tunnels and gun emplacements from the Second World War – remember to bring a torch. Along the beautiful Jæren coast there are great options for walking and cycling, including the Jærruta cycle route or the walk from Sirevåg to Ognastranden. Moor up in Sirevåg and experience the harbour life and coastal culture of Jæren up close.
