About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Sjølyst Marina is a large boating facility in Oslo comprising seven member boat clubs, centrally located at Skøyen next to the E18 motorway. The site also hosts a motorhome (RV) parking area, open from 1 June to 15 September.
The motorhome parking costs NOK 650 per vehicle per day, paid at a machine near the entrance or about 10 metres past the shop. Access is controlled by a car barrier, normally closed between 22:00 and 07:00 (though you can always drive out). Turn left through the gate and over the bridge to the shop to be assigned a spot and given the code for the sanitary facilities.
Showers and toilets are available in dedicated sanitary modules (yellow area), for which guests get a code or key at the shop. The electrical system is older and may occasionally trip under heavy load, but power is provided free of charge. Pump-out of holding tanks is free and located at a station behind the sanitary building. Best Marin, the marina's chandlery and café, is in the pink area and serves both boat owners and motorhome guests.
It's about a 15-minute bike ride into central Oslo along the fjord, and all forms of public transport plus a large petrol station are nearby. Karenslyst Allé, a 5-minute walk away, offers shops and small restaurants. Towards Bygdøy you can walk or cycle to swimming beaches and sights such as the Viking Ship Museum, the Kon-Tiki Museum and Vigeland Park.
