About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Åsgårdstrand guest harbour and marina is a municipally run harbour in Åsgårdstrand, one of the two towns in Horten municipality on the Oslofjord. The harbour is operated by Horten havnevesen and offers around 310 permanent berths spread across three basins, plus about 30 guest berths during the summer season.
The guest harbour lies behind a new breakwater following a rebuild in 2008-2010, offering finger-pontoon berths and a few alongside spots. Outside the peak season, from 11 October, a guest berth costs 170 NOK per night regardless of boat size, while daytime stays are free; shore power costs an extra 70 NOK per day. The service building with sanitary facilities and the kiosk close for winter.
The harbour has a service building with toilets and showers, fresh water, buried waste-sorting bins and a seasonal pump-out station for holding tanks. Both diesel and petrol are sold on site, and free wifi is available at the berths. A small slipway allows launching, and the bathing park right next to the harbour has a playground as well as a bathing ladder and beach.
Within walking distance of the pontoons you'll find the Grand hotel with spa and restaurant, Naustet Pub with a large outdoor seating area, a kiosk, a grocery shop and several artists' galleries. Edvard Munch's house, where he painted several of his most famous works, is a short stroll from the harbour, and the coastal path continues along the water past the Borre mounds to Horten.
