About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026

TuS EMPOR Burg e.V. runs a sport boat marina on the Niegripper Altkanal, close to Niegripper See and the Magdeburg Wasserstraßenkreuz, east of the town of Burg. The marina is directly accessible from the Elbe-Havel-Kanal since the Niegripper Altkanal was restored in 2015, and water quality has noticeably improved since then.

The marina has fixed pontoons, and each berth has an electricity and TV connection. Drinking water can be taken on at the jetty. During the season the marina is open and day guests are welcome; bookings are made by phone Monday to Thursday from 5-7 pm with the harbourmaster. At the winter facility on the Elbe-Havel-Kanal (km 331.85) there is a slipway for boats up to 7 metres, equipped with both an electric and a hand winch.

The clubhouse offers a club room, washrooms, toilets and showers, as well as refrigerators. On the club grounds there is also a playground and a volleyball court, plus the possibility to pitch tents or park caravans with electricity connections.

The marina lies in a scenic setting close to Niegripper See, a popular recreation area, and near the Magdeburg Wasserstraßenkreuz. Tie up at the jetty and enjoy the calm of the Niegripper Altkanal, just a short distance from the lake's recreational areas.
