About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026

Sportgemeinschaft Seesegeln Freest e.V. runs a small, welcoming club marina in northern Vorpommern on the Greifswalder Bodden, with Rügen to the north and Usedom to the southeast. The marina lies within the fishing harbour of Freest and can be entered day and night.

From the Peene main fairway, turn at the green buoy PN 13/F1 and follow the leading line bearing 241.7°, keeping buoys F2 and F4 to port. After passing F4, leave the leading line and head for the wide harbour entrance; along the port side lies a reed belt where the approach to the marina bends about 90°. Keep to starboard, close along the reed edge, at the narrow entrance. The marina is well sheltered from all wind directions and can be entered by yachts with a draught of up to 1.8 m and a beam of up to 3.5 m. Guest berths are marked with a green sign. The guest berth fee is €20 per 24 hours; small boats stored ashore cost €10 per 24 hours, and a guest's own tent costs €10 per night.

The marina offers toilets (free, key access next to the clubhouse entrance) and coin-operated showers (€1 for about 5 minutes). There are guest power sockets on the pontoon, with both electricity and water included in the berth fee. A small playground and a covered barbecue area (by arrangement) are available, and guests can borrow bicycles by arrangement with a club member.
