About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Stadshaven lies in the heart of Leeuwarden around the Prinsentuin park and is spread over three areas: Prinsentuin itself, Noordersingel on the other side of the water, and Westerplantage beyond the Vrouwenpoortbrug towards Stadschouwburg De Harmonie.
The harbour fee is €2.08 per metre of boat length per day (incl. VAT), with water and electricity included free of charge. The harbourmaster does rounds among the boats or can be found at the harbour office at Prinsentuin 3, open from 08:30 to 19:00 (until 20:00 between 1 June and 1 September). Payment is by card or mobile banking app, not cash. A free electric ferry runs daily between Prinsentuin and Noordersingel from 08:00 to 20:00 during the North Netherlands summer holiday period.
Toilets, showers and washing machines are located at the harbour office in Prinsentuin, while Westerplantage has its own building with toilets and showers. A washing machine costs €5.50 and a dryer €4.50. Access to the toilets and showers is via a code from the harbourmaster. There are underground waste containers in Prinsentuin, two containers at Noordersingel, and a large container at the entrance to Westerplantage. Pump-out for holding tanks/bilge water is available at Vrouwenpoortbrug and Noorderbrug.
In Prinsentuin park you'll find the restaurant and grand café De Koperen Tuin as well as the Pier Pandermuseum, right by the boats. Moor up in the middle of the park at Prinsentuin and step straight from your boat into the café and museum.
