About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Stadthafen Mülheim is a leisure marina in the city centre of Mülheim at Ruhr-km 12, part of the new Ruhrpromenade opened in 2014. The marina lies close to the old Schlossbrücke and the Stadtsteiger, where the Weiße Flotte passenger boats dock.
The marina is reached from the Rhein-Herne Canal via the Raffelbergschleuse lock (135 x 12.80 m) or from the Rhine via Ruhrort/Ruhrschleuse or Meidericher Schleuse; from there it is about a 30-minute sail to Stadthafen. Upstream from Schlossbrücke, the rules of the Landeswasserstraße Ruhr apply, with locks measuring 38 x 5.20 m and a water depth of about 1.70 metres. The marina offers mooring boxes on the north side with fastening points rated up to 50 kN, suitable for two 15-metre yachts; berths are booked through the harbour master. Boats may stay up to one month, though these are not permanent berths. The daily rate starts at 6 euros, a week costs 35 euros, and the maximum four-week stay costs 75 euros. Electricity and water each cost 5 euros per day (the water is not drinking water).
On the south side of the harbour, by the old Stadtbad building, shore power connections are available for boats. Free WLAN hotspots are available throughout the harbour area. Boat servicing and repairs are not permitted in the marina.
The marina sits right in the heart of Mülheim, within walking distance of the city's sights such as the Rathausturm and Schlossbrücke.
