About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Sune Carlsson Båtvarv is a boatyard and berthing facility in Moranviken by Baggensfjärden in Saltsjöbaden, just outside Stockholm. The yard was founded in 1954 and took over the original Moranäsvarvet, dating from 1910, in 1963. The facility today offers around 100 berths of various sizes.
The berths are often fully booked during summer, so if you want a spot it is advisable to get in touch already during winter to reserve one.
At the berths you'll find lighting, fresh water and shore power at regularly spaced posts. The yard's largest crane handles up to 65 tonnes and lifts boats up to about 100 feet – sailboats are lifted with the mast still on. Full service and repairs are offered for both motor and sailboats, including specialised Volvo Penta service, and the yard is an authorised service partner for Nautor's Swan. Spray painting and winter storage in two large heated halls are also available.
If your boat needs a secure berth, service or winter storage in the Stockholm archipelago, this yard is a place well worth turning to.
