About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Taarbæk Havn is a cosy marina on the Øresund strait, located about 6 nautical miles north of Copenhagen harbour in Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality. The harbour describes itself as "Øresund's coziest harbour" and welcomes around 600 guest boats every year.
As a visiting sailor you can find a berth on the middle pier or the eastern pier, or raft up alongside another boat – use berths marked with a green sign, while berths with a red sign require prior arrangement with the harbour master. Note that the depth at the entrance at normal water level is about 2.0 metres, and that dredging after winter sanding usually takes place in April. Strong easterly winds can cause low water, so larger boats are advised to contact the harbour master before entering under such conditions, especially in early spring. The guest fee covers consumption of electricity and water, and payment is made via Tallyweb or a QR code at the harbour office.
The harbour has toilets with washrooms and showers beneath the schoolyard, plus facilities for washing and drying clothes. On the piers there are several grill areas for free use, children can enjoy the playground in the schoolyard, and a crane is available for lifting boats for a fee.
Close to the harbour is a grocery shop for most of your needs, and you can dine at Taarbæk Kro, located right at the harbour, or at the town's pizzeria about 200 metres south of the harbour.
