About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026TWV De Waal is a welcoming marina on the river Waal in Tiel, between Nijmegen and Gorinchem, situated just before the Waalkade in Tiel on the starboard side when heading downstream from Nijmegen or the Amsterdam-Rijn Canal.
Always call the harbour master before entering to agree a safe route and have the depth at the guest berth checked, as water levels can be low. The marina monitors VHF channel 31. Berthing fees are €1.90 per metre, or a day rate of €5.00 valid until 16:00; a tourist tax of €1.50 per person per night also applies. All berths have alongside or finger piers, with a harbour master present on the pontoon.
The marina offers shore power (16A, all-in rate), drinking water (all-in rate) and wifi (all-in rate). There are toilets and showers in the clubhouse, plus a waste station right next to the clubhouse. Access to the pontoon is secured, with safety points along the berths.
The marina lies just 100 metres from the heart of the fruit town of Tiel, with its old historic buildings, a pleasant shopping centre and plenty of restaurants. The Jumbo and Lidl supermarkets are within walking distance, and Tiel is a great base for walking and cycling trips through the beautiful Betuwe countryside. Tie up at the guest berth and stroll the 100 metres into Tiel's historic centre.
