About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Tjörnekalv guest harbour lies at the southern tip of the car-free island of Tjörnekalv in Bohuslän, in a sheltered position facing the narrow Kalvesund strait. The harbour is run by the island's harbour association, which also manages around thirty permanent berths, and offers 8 guest berths at a floating pontoon.
The harbour is visited by roughly 250 guest boats each year. The daily fee depends on the week number and boat width: for a boat up to 2.5 metres wide the rate is 170 SEK per day in the low season, rising to 220 SEK during the peak summer weeks, with a surcharge for wider boats.
At the pontoon you'll find a service building with electricity for two boats, showers and toilets, a laundry room, fresh water connected directly to the pontoon, pump-out for holding tanks, and a waste room. Close to the harbour there is also a playground where the island's children and grandchildren gather in summer.
From the harbour you can walk the village's paths, forest trails and hills, swim at a beach around 100 metres from the pontoon, or enjoy the sight of pink water lilies and rich flora. A ferry continues on to Rönnäng, Åstol and Dyrön, and you can hike up to the island's highest point, Klonken, or visit the impressive giant's cauldrons in the rocks to the south. Come alongside at Tjörnekalv and discover one of Bohuslän's calm, family-friendly guest harbours, with easy access to swimming, nature and the neighbouring islands.
