Tusken de Marren

Tusken de Marren (De Drijfveer) is a well-kept marina and holiday centre in Akkrum, in the heart of Friesland, offering both permanent and guest berths as well as camping and boat rental. Berths are typically 6-12 metres long, though longer spots are available for larger skûtsjes and tjalks. In winter, up to 250 boats can be stored ashore in the marina's winter storage.

The marina also serves as a stopover harbour where you can moor for a night, a weekend, or the whole summer. From your berth you are within half an hour of both the Sneekermeer and the Pikmeer, and free route maps of the local waters are available to borrow at reception.

Every jetty has power points and drinking-water taps, and free wifi covers almost the entire site, including the campsite and the terrace at De Koken. Two heated sanitary buildings with toilets, showers and washing-up areas are free to use, and there is a pump-out point for chemical toilets as well as sorted waste disposal. The marina has its own mast crane able to lift masts up to 14 metres, plus a slipway for launching and hauling out boats. There is also a free launderette with a dryer, a playground with climbing frame, swings and a slide plus a table-tennis table, and free parking close to the jetties.

Akkrum's pleasant town centre is about a 10-minute walk from the marina, with shops, restaurants and a grocery store.
