About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026UMS (Upsala Motorbåtssällskap) runs a club marina at Skarholmen in Uppsala, at the northern end of Lake Ekoln. The harbour has room for around 600 boats, and the club also operates a boatyard with space for roughly 180 boats on the eastern bank of the Fyris river, plus the club island of Norsholmen.
The harbour is protected by breakwaters to the south and southwest, and boats are moored using poles or Y-booms. The harbour is locked, and members keep watch there every night throughout the boating season.
A slipway is available in the harbour as part of the club's facilities. Uppsala's fire department and the SSRS sea rescue station in Uppsala are also based at the harbour.
