About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Verdens Ende is a small municipal marina on the island of Als, situated between Christian the X's bridge and the Alssund Bridge, just under 2 km from Sønderborg Harbour. The marina lies in peaceful surroundings close to forest and nature, yet there is still plenty to see as many ships pass through the sound each day and several sailing clubs are based along the harbour.
The harbour is owned by Sønderborg Municipality, and the harbour master's office is located by the payment machine, where guest sailors can pay the harbour fee by cash or card. There are approximately 195 permanent berths at the marina, and guest sailors are welcome for a harbour fee.
At the harbour you will find the essential facilities: toilets, showers and drinking water, as well as electricity on the piers and wifi. There is also a barbecue area, a playground, a small chandlery (seashop), restaurants, grocery shopping and a slipway. Bicycles can also be borrowed at the harbour for a trip into town.
Within walking distance of Sønderborg town centre you'll find great experiences: the pedestrian street with a wide range of shops, a bakery and much more lies just about 2 km away, as does the nearest supermarket. Sønderborg Castle and History Centre Dybbøl Banke are within cycling distance, and Als's coastline offers several child-friendly Blue Flag beaches along with Sønderskoven forest and Nørreskoven Als within easy cycling reach.
