About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Joensuun vierasvenesatama is the guest harbour in Joensuu, divided into three areas along the canal. Area 1 is a floating pontoon with a lockable gate offering alongside and buoy berths, area 2 is a fixed concrete quay for larger vessels (out of use summer 2024), and area 3 is a fixed wooden jetty with berths for smaller boats.
Guest berths are paid by the hour, day or week and can be settled via the ParkMan app, which also provides the code for the gate and the toilet/shower. A day on area 1 costs 18 €, area 2 36 € (currently unused) and area 3 15 €, making it the cheapest berth. Note that guest berths are intended for temporary stays only – for stays longer than 7 days a separate agreement must be made with Joensuun Satama Oy.
The price on areas 1 and 2 includes electricity, water, waste disposal, shower and toilet, while area 3 includes water (from the service pontoon), waste disposal, shower and toilet. The shower and toilet are located in the building housing the summer restaurant Kesäravintola Tuulaaki, and the door code is obtained from the Tuulaaki cash desk.
The summer restaurant Kesäravintola Tuulaaki is right at the harbour, and from the nearby matkustajasatama (passenger harbour) trips depart with the river boat Romeo, the schooner Elina and Joen Saimatar. Berth at area 3 for the cheapest guest spot and head straight to Tuulaaki for food and access to the shower and toilet.
